Your personal brand is what you present to the world. However, if you really want to get it to work for you as a professional, it needs to be authentic, a true reflection of who you are at work and outside of the daily grind.

According to a 2011 New York Times article about psychology and content sharing, there are 6 personal branding personas.
Once you determine which persona category you fall into, it becomes a lot easier to build your content, visuals, and goals around it.
Persona 1: The Altruist
If you have a burning desire to help others, you may have an Altruist personal brand. You are very mindful of your actions and how they affect others – you also really value your personal relationships.
Persona 2: The Careerist
Are you always working towards a new career goal or personal achievement? You could be a Careerist. You will often find a Careerist on platforms that will help them raise their status in the professional world – LinkedIn is a good example of this.
Persona 3: The Hipster
